Fishing Report

The month of May proved to be a difficult one for our program, we started the month with some slow fishing and challenging weather conditions at times. This brought our search to several new areas that we scouted over the banks and canyons available from Cap Cana,

the sub structures within a 30 miles radius are some of the best we have ever seen and are looking very promising when the right conditions will be in place. We have noted less amounts of bait offshore than April. The water temperatures have been between 82.4 and a max of 84.9 F. Currents on some days were over 3.5 KTS creating sections of clear breaks with waves of up to 10-12 ft.and relatively calm on the other side.

We logged 18 days of fishing in May and raised 23 White Marlin and 11 Blue Marlin.

The back side of the May moon has produced the better results as numbers and fish behavior.

Our best days were 26 May - 6 White Marlin and 31 May - 4 Blue Marlin and 1 White Marlin

There is still presence of wahoo and dorado as seen by the many catches landed by boats at the full marina.
